Holding Guided Meditation for the Holidays

Create a private, quiet moment for yourself. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Breathe gently into yourself. Become aware of your heart and breathe into it, becoming increasingly aware of your heart. Allow yourself to remember and breathe into a moment when you felt love—any kind of love.

See, sense, feel, know your heart like a candle in the dark. Gently, as you breathe, encourage the flame to expand. This is your heart expanding to fill the space with its light and love. Notice that the flame simply expands. It does not choose to shed its light in one place, but not another. It sheds its loving light everywhere it reaches. So it is with your love. With each breath, the flame grows brighter. With each breath, your love expands. All your light touches is blessed by your love.

When you experience your heart pulsing in light, allow your attention to once more become aware of your body, feeling the physical nature of your body. Breathe deeply, exhaling through your mouth. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Gently open your eyes. Live in unconditional love this holiday season.
