By Reverend Misa
When I look into the kind, caring eyes of a volunteer, I see you.
As the hands of a volunteer reach out to help me, I see your hands.
In the heart-warming smile of a volunteer, I see you smiling at me.
If for a moment I forget that you are alive in all of us,
you send me a kind reminder that you are here
in the eyes, hands and heart of a volunteer.
If you volunteer, thank you for being you—bringing the spirit of the Divine so visibly into our lives.
