Create a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for your meditation. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Breathe gently into yourself until your mind and body quiet down. Become aware of your heart and breathe. Just breathe until your mind and body become still and your heart and mind open.
What part of you is longing to emerge? Sit quietly and allow that part of you to come forward. Be gentle with this aspect of you that is longing to be recognized. Focus on its right to exist, rather than all the reasons that it cannot. Allow yourself to feel the deeper desire behind what has presented itself to you. Sink into that desire in the silence of your being and hold it in your love.
When doubt and resistance arise, simply allow them to be held in your love as well. Do not try to fix them or make them go away. They will, in time, dissolve in your love. Instead, open your heart further in compassion for their existence. As they relax, once again sink into your beingness.
Hold the impulse of your desire in your love. Focus on the feeling of its nature. As you lovingly attend to its nature, in the same way you would attend to a child, a kitten or a puppy, notice how it naturally re-emerges— born in your love. This is your Divine longing—your purpose—expressing through you. Throughout your day, affirm this emergence through the choices you make.
When you feel full, breathe deeply, exhaling through your mouth, bringing yourself into the awareness of this moment. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Gently open your eyes. Live in the emergence of Divine longing and purpose.
